We have several cases, of members who joined in their first or second years, remained consistently active members of the IET club and went on to become outstanding leaders, speakers, managers and technical stalwarts in the BIT student community.
Global Memberships

- FREE - All seminars and workshops that have a fee upto Rs. 100 shall be free for IET global members.
- DISCOUNTS - All workshops with fees over Rs. 100 will be accessible to global members at a 25% discount on the fees.
- According to the by-laws of the IET Students' Chapter, BIT Mesra - the President, the Vice President, the General Secretary and the Treasurer are required to be Global Members of the IET
In addition to the above benefits, global members are entitled to the following benefits at the BIT Mesra campus level.

Fees for becoming a Global Member :
Rs. 2500 - for entire duration of your student life.
Rs. 1000 - for one year subscription to digital library and magazine, lifetime access to the email alias.
Students registering this year will have their subscription valid upto Dec 31, 2011 in case of one year membership plan.

Campus Memberships
By becoming a campus member you become a part of the IET community in BIT.
Benefits of becoming a Campus Member:
- Discounts at events : Campus members receive a flat 10% discount on events with fees upto Rs.100.
- Be a part of IET and campus events : The IET plays a crucial role in all technical fests and activities in the campus. By being a member you get to become a part of the team that makes it happen. We need people for a wide range of activities including event management, logisitics, technical knowhow, sponsorships, and public relations.

How to become a campus member ?
Hostel Representatives of the IET shall contact students in the first year, to help them become a campus member. This will be done after the All-Club briefing for the batch of 2010.
